FREEDOM SERIES (2020–24)

Freedom Series employs drawing and text with ink, and watercolor to dissect the psychological framework of domestic experience for single parents during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a single mother myself, this artwork serves as a mental framework for expressing unmet personal desires. Here, the delicate interplay of desire and freedom is momentarily preserved on paper. This process can provide a path to radical acceptance in the face of illness and isolation. By examining the psychological architecture of domestic experience, I aim to bring attention to the dreams and the struggles of single parents, offering a unique perspective on the impact of COVID-19 on this particular demographic. Dimensions: 5” x 7.
